2007 - George Washington presidential dollar D uncirculated

Presidential dollars were designed to commemorate the US presidents that have led this great country. The United States Mint started this set back in 2007 and are scheduled to release these presidential dollars for years to come. What better way to illustrate the history of the US than to collect these wonderful dollars. Presidential dollars are minted from philadelphia (P), denver (D) and even San Fransisco (S). George Washington Presidential Dollars were released on February 15, 2007 as the first coin of the Presidential Dollar series. So far, the coin has the highest overall mintage for the series. The Philadelphia mint produced 176,680,000 coins. The Denver mint produced 163,680,000 coins. The obverse of the coin features a portrait of the president and the reverse features the Statue of Liberty design used on all Presidential Dollars. The obverse designer/sculptor was Joseph Menna. The reverse designer/sculptor was Don Everhart. The obverse features inscriptions "George Washington," "1st President," and the years of his presidential term "1789-1797." The reverse inscriptions include "United States of America," and the denomination "$1." The date and mint mark are located on the edge inscription of the coin along with the mottoes "In God We Trust" and "E Pluribus Unum."
